Two passengers have won a landmark case against Ryanair over compensation for flight delays which could benefit millions of people.
Today's ruling at Manchester County Court means passengers have a right to make claims going back up to six years.
Ryanair was refusing to pay out for claims made more than two years after the incident, based on their own terms and conditions.
Although the ruling is not legally binding, it sets an important precedent and could benefit millions of airline passengers.

The firm representing the two passengers in today's ruling said it could benefit around 2.6 million Ryanair customers and be worth around £610 million in compensation.
However, the airline rubbished this "absurd" claim, saying even if a planned appeal against the decision failed, it expects the figure to be less than €5 million (£3.6 million).
