Cancelled Flight and Delayed Flight Compensation Home Page

Regulation (EC) 261/2004

This regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council came into force on the
17th February 2005 and clearly sets out the responsibility of airline carriers and Tour Operators
who are either operating to/from airports in the EU or are based in the EU but operating outside
the area. It details levels of flight delay compensation, cancelled flight compensation,
denied boarding compensation and downgraded class of travel compensation you may be entitled to.

As with all regulations, there are caveats and this website explains the main focus of the Regulation
and specifies the benefits whilst also assisting passengers with their flight compensation claims.
