Air aassenger rights when flight is delayed or cancelled.

EU Regulation EC 261/2004:

If your flight was disrupted causing you to arrive later than 2+ hours after the original arrival time, then it is your legal right under European Union’s Regulation EC 261/2004 to receive compensation from the airline. The compensation can be up to £600 per passenger in the form of cash, electronic bank transfer, cheque or travel vouchers.
