Misty, 2 years old Yorkshire Terrier was saved from death on its’ first flight. The situation happened at 18,000 ft after an airplane’s cargo room’s heating system malfunctioned.
The pilot noticed a problem while he prepared to fly the plane over the ocean. As the temperatures in the cargo room may drop well below freezing, the pilot decided to make emergency landing to save a Yorkie.
